Please note: CAT6 cables typically supports shorter distances, so we recommend you use UTP cable CAT5 or CAT5e (not included) to get the best results. You can make your own to the required length using our CAT5 bulk cables and network connectors.
Please note: Maximum supported distances and resolutions are dependent on both the monitor and the chipset used in the graphics card. The following example shows the maximum values from a test with a Belinea 1280 x 1024 DVI flat panel display and two different graphics cards (ATI Radeon 7000 and NVidea 5200).
As a general rule, the newer the hardware used, the longer the distance and the higher the supported resolution.
| LINDY SLD cable length | Max. resolution using a 2004 Belinea TFT (1280 x 1024 native resolution) | Max. resolution using a 2006 Dell TFT (1920 x 1200 native resolution) |
| 20m | 1280 x 1024 @ 60Hz | 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz |
| 25m | 1024 x 768 @ 60Hz | 1600 x 1200 @ 60Hz |
The table below shows the typical resolutions and distances you can expect to achieve when using the various types of cable.
| Cable | Distance | Resolution |
| CAT 5/5e | 50m | 2048 x 1536 |
| 75m | 1600 x 1200 |
| 200m | 1280 x 1024 |
| 300m | 1024 x 768 |
| CAT6 | 30m | 1920 x 1440 |
| 50m | 1280 x 1024 |
| 100m | 800 x 600 |
