The LINDY SATA RAID 0/1 System is designed to be a reliable and affordable solution for RAID (Redundant Arrays of Independent Disks) Level 0 Disk Striping and RAID Level 1 Disk Mirroring.

Designed as a cost effective solution for use with SATA drives, it can be connected to a computer's SATA or IDE/ATA interface.

  • SATA RAID system incorporating a built-in intelligent RAID controller
  • Supports two 3.5" SATA hard disks*, up to 400GB each (not included)
  • Can be configured as RAID 0 or RAID 1
  • Self contained unit fits into two free 5.25" bays (PC only)
  • Hard disks can be hot-plugged during operation, auto re-build function is automatic in the event a faulty drive needs to be replaced
  • Additional inner trays available (Part No. 20639)
  • 3.5" HDD Wallet also available for transporting bare drives
  • Compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP and Vista, Mac OS 10 & above, Linux

How does it work?

  • The SATA RAID 0/1 System contains an internal SATA RAID controller with an LCD function display
  • Simply attaches to your motherboard's existing SATA or IDE controller
  • The 5.25" wide housing fits into two adjacent bays and houses two removable IDE hard disk drives
  • Each hard disk drive is installed on its own quick change frame which can be removed during operation (RAID Level 1 disk mirror function only)
  • Plug & Play - easy installation, after which the system operates automatically
  • RAID Level 0 function treats both hard disks as a single volume for greater speed and performance
  • RAID Level 1 function mirrors data to both hard disks providing data security at all times. If one hard disk drive should fail, then the other immediately takes over, an alarm sounds, and an email notifies you of the failure. You can easily 'hot-swap' the failed drive and the SATA RAID system will rebuild the data automatically to the new drive without any data loss
