LINDY Launches Cost Effective Solution for Multiple Workstations
We announced today our
USB User Client
that works seamlessly with Microsoft Windows MultiPoint Server to enable several workstations to connect simultaneously to
one host computer. A simple and cost effective way for educational institutes to install multiple workstations, the LINDY
USB User Client connects the workstation to the Windows MultiPoint Server via a single USB cable.
The LINDY USB Client features four USB 2.0 ports for connecting a keyboard, mouse and other USB peripherals such as a pen drive or printer. A VGA port enables a monitor to be connected and microphone and stereo speaker sockets provides full audio support. The unit’s compact, low profile design allows for it to be placed flat, stood vertically using the supplied stand or fixed to the VESA mounting points on the back of a monitor.
With Windows MultiPoint Server up to ten clients can connect to a single host computer and still receive the full Windows desktop experience including individual logins. For environments such as classrooms that don’t require intensive computing capability the thin client platform has many advantages including significant cost savings. Our new USB User Client makes connecting workstations to the server as simple as ABC.
The USB Client for Windows MultiPoint Server is supplied with a multi-country power supply, 1.9m USB connection cable. Connected over a single USB cable the LINDY USB Client supports standard USB connections of up to 3m, for longer distances the unit will also work with LINDY’s 5m or 20m USB Active Extension Cable.
