LINDY AutoSwitch Makes Connecting USB Devices Easy for Small Offices

We announced today our latest USB 2.0 AutoSwitch that enables up to four computers to share one USB device or more when combined with a USB hub. Capable of supporting printers, scanners and storage devices, the switch also provides first served first print functionality, allowing users to print without switching the focus to their computer.

The LINDY USB 2.0 AutoSwitch is compatible with both Macs and PCs. Users can switch between computers using the push button on the unit or by accessing the hotkeys on PCs only. Bus powered with no external power supply required and able to take both a 2m input and output cable, the switch can easily be placed in a convenient location.

The LINDY USB 2.0 AutoSwitch (part no. 42843) is perfect for small and home offices where users frequently end-up sharing a USB printer. Unlike manual switches which don't allow the computer to see the shared printer unless it's the one connected at that time, the AutoSwitch acts just like a print server. Thus removing one of the main annoyances for users sharing a non-networked printer.

The plug and play device is compatible with Windows ME/2000/XP and Vista, Mac OS 8.6 to 9.2 and Linux computers. A 2 Port USB 2.0 AutoSwitch is also available.
