LINDY Mobile SATA Raid System Provides Flexible Storage

We announced today our Mobile SATA Raid System that provides both portability and adaptability, depending on the user's requirements. With the ability to provide full redundancy for important files or just additional data storage, either in an internal drive bay or as an external enclosure, the LINDY RAID System is ideal for securing important information or simply providing an easy method to swap or transport hard drives.

The solid aluminium design holds two 2.5” SATA hard drives (not supplied) and can be easily installed into any standard 3.5" drive bay or connected as an external drive enclosure via USB. The user has a choice of configuring the system to run as RAID 0 for additional storage capacity or as RAID 1 for complete redundancy with a mirror set of their data, ensuring that should one disk fail the information is still available on the other.

Whether it is important data files that need a failsafe back-up or large video files that require extra storage capacity, our RAID system provides the flexibility that enables it to be used not just either way, but internally or externally too. The adaptability of enclosure enables users to continue using the unit long after its original purpose is no longer required.

The LINDY Mobile SATA Raid System has a tray-less design that enables fast hard disk drive exchanging and is designed to be a self contained unit, making it simple to install internally if required using the computer’s eSATA port. Three LEDs on the front of the unit indicate power and drive activity, whilst a lock feature prevents unexpected removal of the disks whilst in operation.
