Meet The Sales Team

Introducing the LINDY UK Sales & Technical Teams...

We thought we'd do a little Q & A with some of our staff so you can get to know them a bit better. We were going to ask a lot of technical questions about what they get up to in their day to day roles but, in the end, decided you can learn more about someone by asking which cartoon character they'd most like to be. Enjoy!

Sales Manager

What does your role entail?

Listening! Listening to our customers is a MUST. Only by understanding them and their needs can we keep growing our mutual businesses.

Do you have any special area of expertise?

I'm multi-talented ...and very modest!

If you were a cartoon character who would you be?

I'd like to be the clown fish in "Finding Nemo" - which character I'm most like you'd have to ask my team.

Tell us a strange, interesting or funny thing about yourself

I met my wife on 1st April. Does that count?

What does your role entail?

Developing new and existing accounts. My main areas of expertise are networking, AV and KVM connectivity solutions.

If you were a cartoon character who would you be?

I'd like to be Fred Flintstone so that every time I get a big order I can jump in the air, slap my feet together and shout, "Yabba-dabba-doo!"

Tell us a strange, interesting or funny thing about yourself

I was walking through Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris when a group of Japanese tourists started gathering round me asking for my autograph. It turned out they thought I was from a TV show that was big in Japan at the time (don't ask me which one!).

What does your role entail?

My role entails giving our customers (external and internal) superior customer service.

Do you have any special area of expertise?

I am multi-faceted in all areas

If you were a cartoon character who would you be?

Road-runner because I’m always one step ahead of the game, anticipating all scenarios to give the best solution.

What does your role entail?

Listening & speaking to new and existing customer’s every day, and giving advice to help them find there perfect solution.

Do you have any special area of expertise in your role?

I’m an all rounder, although I’m a bit of a Home Cinema/AV geek.

If you were a cartoon character who would you be?

Any of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.....Pizza and Kung Fu.....perfect!

Tell us a strange, interesting or funny thing about yourself

When I eat cornflakes, I crunch them up before putting them in the bowel as I think they taste better....strange I know.

What does your role entail?

Processing web orders and dealing with customers' enquiries.

What do you like about your job?

I get a lot of job satisfaction from knowing I have helped someone. The banter from the sales team.

If you were a cartoon character who would you be?

Olive Oyl. I like big, strong sailors!

Tell us a strange, interesting or funny thing about yourself

I was sat in my car at some traffic lights giving the windscreen washer a few squirts when a policeman (on a push bike) pulled up beside me and knocked on my window. As I opened it he was wiping his face... I don't think he saw the funny side.

What does your role entail?

My role is to look after all Web Orders and deal with customer enquiries.

Do you have any special area of expertise?

Web Orders as I deal with them every day.

If you were a cartoon character who would you be?

Scooby Doo.......a talking dog says it all!!

Tell us a strange, interesting or funny thing about yourself

When I started Graham Huntley asked if I wanted a bag of crisps, so I ate them not knowing they were Chris Measors! Chris wasn't happy as he hates people touching his food. Graham bought a replacement pack later on. Nice prank, I’m still thinking of how to get Graham back!

What does your role entail?

Providing technical support to our customers, testing new products, warranty repairs and staff training.

If you were a cartoon character who would you be?

"The Brain" from Pinky and The Brain. I'm always thinking about world domination.

I've been pierced 12 times in total!

What does your role entail?

All aspects of customer support including technical telephone support, technical e-mail support and repair as well as the testing of faulty goods that have been returned.

If you were a cartoon character who would you be?

Donkey Kong

I’m an avid collector of old Arcade Video machines and old computers.
