Extend 3D signals and multi channel audio up to 40m with new LINDY Extender Pro
We have recently announced our latest HDMI extender that enables high-resolution digital video, including 3D signals, multi-channel digital audio and IR signals to be sent between devices up to 40m away using low cost CAT6 cable.
The HDMI over Gigabit Ethernet Extender System makes it easy for installers to deploy audio-visual set-ups over long distances. Consisting of a transmitter and a receiver, the installer simply needs to use standard HDMI cables to connect the transmitter to the HDMI source and the display to the receiver, and then connect the two units together using a single CAT6 cable. An IR Receiver and Repeater ensures that the remote control function of the source device can still be used.
Installations over long distances are always fraught with potential problems and 3D signals have increased the complexity. This latest extender to our range is an easy, low cost solution that is simple to install and delivers a perfect picture every time.
Enclosed in a sturdy metal casing, the LINDY HDMI & IR CAT6 Extender Pro is HDCP and DVI compliant and has an EDID copy function built in to the transmitter unit. In cases where the full 40m reach is required, LINDY recommends that very high quality shielded CAT6 PIMF cable is used to ensure no degradation of signal. Using non-shielded cable the maximum recommended distance is 20m at 1080p.
